Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, with her pageant sisters Miss USA 2022 Morgan Romano and Miss Teen USA 2022 Faron Medhi, was in Guatemala this week for Smile Train. Smile Train is world's largest cleft charity providing safe, high-quality cleft palate surgical care in over 70 countries.
Gabriel, through her official social media, talked about her experience as she wrote, "Had the sweetest time dying shirts and spending time with children that have undergone cleft surgeries with @smiletrain.”
Gabriel also reunited with Miss Universe Guatemala 2022 Ivana Batchelor who competed together at Miss Universe 2022. The reigning Miss Teen USA also shared, "I had such a beautiful first day in Guatemala with @smiletrain. We were able to meet with such inspiring girls with incredible strength and stories. Thank you so much Smile Train for such an amazing and unique experience.”
For Morgan Romano, meeting the patients who have been impacted by the nonprofit organization was an honor. “Their stories were inspiring and courageous”, she quoted.
Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, with a sustainable and local model of supporting surgery and other forms of essential care. Over the last 20+ years, the organisation has supported safe, high-quality, and free cleft care for 1.5+ million children and will continue to do so until every child in need with a cleft has access to the care they deserve.
