Sheynnis Palacios was crowned Miss Universe 2023 at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador as she became the first ever Nicaraguan woman to win the Miss Universe crown. Her victory was an epitome of breakthrough and celebration of diversity.

A role model for women all over the world, Palacios will now use her platform to advocate the causes close to her heart. She is currently in New York, one of the base cities for Miss Universe winners, and will travel the world as the reigning Miss Universe to give a platform to her cause.
