Olivia Rogers promotes body confidence in her Instagram Post!

16 Jan 2018 | Kanupriya Bhardwaj

Olivia Rogers has been an open book since her participation in Miss Universe Australia in 2017; she spoke about her battles with depression and anxiety and also her father’s mental illness at the finale of Miss Universe Australia in 2017. Since then, Olivia has made sure to promote the importance of talking about mental illnesses openly and to not make it a hushed subject.

From Adelaide, this 25-year-old beauty queen is also a professional model and a speech pathologist. Olivia entered the world of pageantry when she was merely 17 years of age. The pressure of the modelling industry was too much for Olivia as she was asked to consistently drop her weight which led to exacerbated mental health issues for our beauty queen.

After her battles with her own demons, Olivia is now a healthy woman who promotes body confidence and fight against mental illnesses through every platform she is presented with. Just a few days ago, she took to her official Instagram account to reflect on the importance of loving your own body before anything else.

She began by observing how one spends most of the time criticizing and obsessing over his/her own ‘bad bits’ instead of loving every inch of their own body. She admitted she was a culprit too but with time, Olivia has begun to overcome the body image issues and love herself for who she is.

Jessica Sepel, Best Selling Health Author & Expert Nutritionist, helped her immensely in overcoming her own fears. Olivia also spread a positive message of giving up body image stereotypes for her devoted followers and encouraged everyone to love themselves first before anyone else.
