Miss Universe Australia 2018 finalists from the Victoria State Final

Sunday, April 22nd saw the Victoria State Final for Miss Universe Australia 2018 take place at the QT Melbourne hotel on Russell Street, Melbourne. The event was hosted by Sophia Barbagallo, and Miss Universe Australia 2017 Olivia Molly Rogers was the special guest.

Six finalists from the competing girls were selected to represent Victoria at the national finals of Miss Universe Australia 2018. Also, the only wildcard entry, that the organization selected, was from Victoria as well. That made the state national finalist total, for Miss Universe Australia 2018, seven.

The selected finalists will soon be heading to Bali and checking into Alila Hotels And Resorts.

Lucy Mcarthur- Lucy has secured herself and team VIC the last Miss Universe Australia National Finalists position. The Pink Tank Events team chose 1 wildcard who they believed was overlooked by the judges during State Finals. Lucy made the cut, and will now get the opportunity to represent Victoria at Miss Universe Australia.

Pink Tank Events has owned the rights to the Miss Universe WA Preliminary for 8 years and was formed by Perth businessman Troy Barbagallo in 2008.

In 2016, as a direct result of the incredible work put into developing the pageant in WA, Troy was granted the national license to deliver the Miss Universe Australia pageant across the country to the high standards Pink Tank Events has been renowned for.

The new look Miss Universe Australia program follows the success of the pageant in WA, whereby thousands of applications have been received and 70 finalists have been named each year with the opportunity to participate in the six-month self-development program. The yearly calendar consists of around 14 official events across eight months, including the Registration Day, Workshops, Parades, Heats, Lawn Bowls Corporate Championship, Cocktail Functions, Charity Fundraisers and Gala State Final.
