Miss Universe Australia 2020 is all set to host its coronation in June this year where contestants from all over Australia will vie for the national crown and the opportunity to represent the country at the prestigious stage of Miss Universe 2020.
Ever since the organization announced the names of the vying contestants, one name that is taking over the hearts of the pageant fanatics is Emily Tokic. Emily hails from Canberra; is 22-years-old and 178 cm tall. She is a student and studying Law and Commerce from the University of Canberra. She knows Croatian and English languages. She works as a professional model balancing her studies and career.
Emily is not new to pageantry as she participated in Miss Universe Australia 2018 and finished as the 4th runner-up at the end of the event finale. She was also awarded Miss Toybox. Emily represented Australia at Miss International 2018 where she finished by placing at Top 15. Her desire to represent Australia at Miss Universe stage brought her back at Miss Universe Australia 2020 stage and she will be representing New South Wales at the competition.
Emily is a trained ballet dancer and her childhood was spent competing, undertaking exams and performing for others on stage which has helped her in gaining confidence on-stage. The diva who is studying Law hopes to specialise in Human Rights Law, to actively protect and promote human rights in Australia.
The diva who has experienced the world of pageant mentioned that she feels very lucky and blessed that she has been given an opportunity to represent her country at Miss Universe 2020 stage. Emily is very friendly and states that she is very quick and easy to form many life-long friendships with the delegates that she will meet for the competition. Remembering her stint at Miss Universe Australia 2018, Emily stated that she was able to form friendship with the beautiful women as well as with the Miss Universe Australia team, hair and makeup team, and the film crew.
Emily is very confident and assured that she has the abilities and skills to win the title of Miss Universe Australia 2020 and represent Australia at Miss Universe 2020 stage. She is prepping herself up for the finale event by working on her on-stage walk, body postures and angles and she is working on her interview skills and communication because she feels that question and answer round is very essential in the pageant. The diva is a fitness enthusiast and never fails to show off her toned and fit body on her social media account. She has worked very hard and was determined to reach her goal. She makes sure that she works out everyday not just for staying fit but for her well-being. She feels working out has helped her in reliving stress and anxiety.
In one of her interviews, Emily revealed that pageantry is so much more to her than just looks: “If I felt pageants were only about outer beauty, I wouldn’t be involved in this industry. I want to make a difference in the world and I feel that pageantry is my path to bring about positive change.” She is clearly a very positive person who tends to look out the positive outcome first in every situation. She wants to be a role model everyone is proud to have and are genuinely inspired by her work.
The diva is very honoured and blessed to be a part of Miss Universe 2020 stage and aims to win it and make her parents along with the people of Canberra proud. With her experience in the field, strong and confident opinions and most importantly a positive approach towards winning has made her one of the fan’s favourite and she is emerging as the front runner for the winning the title and representing Australia at Miss Universe 2020.
