Priya Serrao from Victoria represented Australia at Miss Universe 2019 and was appreciated for her performance. She entered the pageant because she wanted to advocate on issues like to work more tangibly with local organizations that raise awareness about inclusion, identity, and privilege. She was unplaced at the pageant but was considered as one of the strongest contenders for the title.
