Monique Riley crowned Miss Universe Australia 2022

The coronation night of Miss Universe Australia 2022 was held on Friday, 9th September 2022 at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, Queensland where Monique Riley of New South Wales was crowned as the new queen. Riley will now represent Australia at Miss Universe 2022.

Riley is 27 years of age and a model and an actress. She works as an executive assistant with a degree in creative industries from the Queensland University of Technology. She is originally from Queensland.

 

 

Also at the end of the event finale, Annalise Dalinis was adjudged as the first runner-up, Ciara Grehan was awarded as the second runner-up, Hànni Rose Howe was adjudged as the third runner-up while Alana Deutsher-Moore was awarded as the fourth runner-up. Elissa Laforce, Darcy Spinks, Kymberlee Street, Jacinta Pizzata, and Miné Coetser completed the Top 10 batch.

A total of 28 beauties competed for the national title. They were selected through state finals in Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and Southern Australia.

 

 

This year's glittering event was the first live national final for Miss Universe Australia since 2019. Riley succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Australia 2021 Daria Varlamova. Australia has won the Miss Universe pageant twice with Kerry Anne Wells in 1972 and Jennifer Hawkins in 2004.
