Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 held its finale yesterday i.e. 3rd April 2021 the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in the capital where Tangia Zaman Methila was crowned the new queen by the special judge and famous Indian actor Chitrangada Singh.
Tangia will now represent her country at the upcoming Miss Universe. Hailing from Dhaka, Bangladesh, she will be the Asian country’s second representative at the coveted pageant. Methila is a professional model, an actress and an alumna of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in Dhaka.
Methila is not new to the pageant world as she was the inaugural Miss Supranational Bangladesh 2019. However, Methila was not able to represent Bangladesh in Miss Supranational 2019 due to family emergency. If she wins Miss Universe 2020, she will be the international beauty pageant’s first winner from her home country.
The newly crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 court includes-
1st Runner-up - Farzana Yasmin Ananya
2nd Runner-up - Farzana Akter Ani
Along with Singh, the panel of jury also included Tahsan Khan, Bidya Sinha Saha Mim, Irene Sommer Tilger and Mehruz Munir.

Miss Shining Star: Apana Chakma
Miss Photogenic: Nidra Dey
Miss Talent: Towhida Tusnim Tifa
Out of the fifty contestants who began their journey at Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020, the Top 10 who moved forward to the final leg of the competition and completed for the national crown were Aonkita Dey, Apana Chakma, Farzana Akter Ani, Farzana Yasmin, Fatema Tuz Johura, Mariyam Ahmed, Masuda Khan, Nidra Dey, Tangia Zaman Methila, and Towhida Tusnim Tifa.
