So we bring to you another National Costume for the Miss Universe 2016. As the finale of Miss Universe 2016 is inching closer, it is only getting more and more exciting. The national costume that we are going to talk about today is that of Miss Universe Bolivia 2016, Antonella Moscatelli.
21 year old Antonella is a model by profession hailing from Santa Cruz. She stands tall at an astounding height of 176cm and is a student of commercial engineering. Antonella has previously won the title of Cabellera Best Sunsilk Curls. Talking about her National Costume, Antonella will wear a piece of the 18 specialties of the Bolivian Carnival in Miss Universe. Antonella’s costume is inspired by El carnaval de Oruro.
El carnaval de Oruro is a religious festival of Bolivia and is one of UNESCO's Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Throughout the festival, more than 48 groups of folk dancers specializing in 18 different folk dances perform a pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Tunnel every Saturday of the carnival in a traditional parade. Antonella’s national costume is named as "Allegory to the Carnival of Oruro".
Antonella’s costume has an array of colours, a giant headgear and a cape, all of which exhibits the richness of Bolivian culture. It looks like there was a lot of thought and efforts put behind bringing forth this creation.
Antonella has learnt English to converse better and completed her studies from a convent. Antonella Moscatelli is proud to represent her country at such a big international platform and wants to make efforts and sacrifices in order to achieve the dream of becoming the crown queen of Miss Universe 2016 and helping those in need in her country as well internationally.
We have come across few of the National Costumes for Miss Universe 2016, and it looks like the contestants are putting in serious effort by taking this segment of the pageant very seriously.
