Miss Universe calling for Kalista Iskandar?

According to some rumors the organization of Puteri Indonesia might allow the delegates who have previously participated at the competition but were unfortunate to win the crown to participate in the next edition of the competition.

The organization is yet to comment on the rumors as of now but the pageant fanatics have already started to make a list of delegates who could be a potential choice for the title if the rumors are true in any case. Kalista Iskandar is one of the delegates who has caught the attention of everyone as she seems like an ideal choice to represent Indonesia at Miss Universe stage.

 

 

Originally from Bukittinggi, Louise Kalista Wilson-Iskandar represented the province of Sumatera Barat at the Puteri Indonesia 2020 competition and was adjudged as the third runner-up at the end of the event finale. She is 22-years-old and stands 179 cm tall and is an Indonesian national of Chinese - American descent. She has a degree in Law from Pelita Harapan University and is currently continuing his education to obtain a Master’s degree in Management Communication at Trisakti University, Jakarta. She is fluent in Indonesia, English, and Mandarin languages.

Kalista is not new to the world of beauty pageants as she was adjudged as the third runner-up at Puteri Indonesia 2020 competition. She was highly appreciated for her strong performance and confidence through out the competition. While she was a student, she was able to participate in number of competitions and was also a part of exchange student program. In 2018, Kalista participated in the Princess Batik Nusantara event and represented DKI Jakarta. She finished in the top 5 and won the title of Miss Congeniality. During the finale of Puteri Indonesia 2020, she was not able to pronounce Pancasila correctly but held her head strong and firm.

The diva later stated, "The biggest thing to take from the incident is that it's okay to be nervous as long as you continue to hold your head up high and stay proud of you are. Keep raising your head and remaining proud of yourself.”  Kalista stated that he did not want to think too much about his mistake. She is still proud of her achievements in the Puteri Indonesia event so far. "This will be something for me to learn from. It isn't the end of my journey, it's just the beginning. Stay safe, stay proud of who you are, and stay kind of each other," she added lastly.

 

 

She has been a volunteer or advocate at the Emmanuel Foundation since 2000. The foundation provides services and support for infants, children with disabilities and malnutrition, and poor communities. She is a strong-minded person; the diva will be an eloquent and smart contender in the competition if she decides to participate again. She brought up the issue of encouraging education and the creative economy at the competition and continues to work for it.

With her experience, strong opinions, and clear and focused mind to make the people of her country proud, clearly states that she is ready to represent Indonesia at Miss Universe stage in future. She is extremely thankful for the opportunities she has received and will continue to work hard to be on the top. The diva who strongly believes that if one works hard and is determined then they can achieve whatever they wish for is a true Miss Universe delegate quality. She can be a strong contender for the title if she decides to participate.
