Paula Ortega has been crowned Miss Universo Cataluña 2022 in Barcelona, Spain as she has become the official representative of the state at Miss Universe Spain 2022.

Paula Ortega works as a nurse and is currently residing in Spain. Also, at the end of the event finale, Inma was adjudged the first runner-up while Ariadna Suarez was adjudged second runner-up.

On winning the state crown, Paula Ortega took to her official social media as she wrote, “Paula Ortega Madarieta, vuestra Miss Universo Cataluña 2022! Thank you to everyone who has messaged me, tagged me in stories and posts, all press abroad that has posted online about me (crazy!) , your comments and basically, all your love and support from other regions in Spain, Canada, Venezuela, the Philippines and I even got messages from supporters from Africa!!! I am determined and ready to work 200% now to achieve my goal. Thank you, muchas gracias.”

Paula Ortega last participated in Miss World Philippines 2022. Paula is of full-blooded Filipino who was born and raised in Spain, by a Bicolana and Ilocano parents. She graduated with a degree in Medical Laboratory Technician and worked as a Laboratory Assistant at Saint Paul Hospital of Barcelona. Later, she decided to pursue Nursing from the University of Barcelona and it was only last month when she completed her graduation and is now a certified nurse.
