Miss Universe Chile 2020 finale format announced

The grand coronation of Miss Universe Chile 2020 will be held in the month of September 2020 where the delegates from all over the country will compete for the title and an opportunity to represent Chile at Miss Universe 2020 stage. Chile is one of the few countries who has sent their respective representatives to Mis Universe pageant since 1952 and has placed 13 times at the semi-finals with winning the crown once when Cecilia Bolocco was crowned in 1987.

Recently, Miss Universe Chile organization has revealed the format according to which the pageant will be conducted to crown Miss Universe Chile 2019 Geraldine González Martínez’s successor at the end of the event finale. The organization has announced that the competition will begin from the month of August where the 25 delegates from the country will be chosen and trained on zoom classes, pageant activities will be carried on the official social media account of the organization. The delegates will be trained for catwalk, communication, question and answer round and other challenges which are held at Miss Universe stage.

In September, there will be 5 delegates who will be chosen from the Top 25 to further compete for the title. The top 5 will be selected as four winners of online competition and one winner choicely. There will be a face-to-face competition between the Top 5 delegates out of which the winner will be chosen to represent Chile at the Miss Universe 2020 stage. The other 4 delegates will also be given a chance to represent Chile at other international pageants.

The organization will reveal the name of the delegates competing for the title very soon after which the pre-pageant activities online will be started to prepare the delegates for the finale event. The change in the format of Miss Universe Chile competition is due to the pandemic outbreak after which conducting the standard competition for crowning the winner is not suitable.
