The Miss Universe Colombia organization closed its registrations a few days ago, with a view to its 2021 edition. The next step towards the crowning is to carry out the face-to-face casting, after which those selected to represent the different departments and main cities of the country will be announced, out of which the representative of Colombia will be chosen for Miss Universe 2021.

Valeria Ayos Bossa, former Miss Earth Colombia 2018, has officially become the first contestant for the national competition and will be representing Cartagena. Valeria was picked to represent San Andres last year at castings, but she pulled out of the competition for personal reasons. The organization promised her a spot this year and yesterday they released a statement appointing her as the new Miss Universe Cartagena.

The official statement read, “The organization Miss Universe Colombia informs the public that Miss Valeria María Ayos Bossa, born in the city of Cartagena de Indias, who for reasons of force majeure could not participate in Miss Universe Colombia 2020, has decided to take her place in the 2021 edition of the contest. Consequently, the organization grants her the title of Miss Universe Cartagena 2021.”

Born in the city of Cartagena, 27 years-old Valeria is a professional model and presenter and is a professional in international relations from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, whose main headquarters are located in the city of Bogotá. Valeria rose to fame at the age of 23, when she was crowned Miss Earth Colombia 2018 and was given the chance to represent her country at Miss Earth 2018. She became a pageant sensation with her stunning beauty and intelligence and won a spot in the Top 4 at Miss Earth 2018 winning the Miss Earth-Water 2018 crown, one of the four elemental titles awarded at the Miss Earth pageant.

Valeria’s expertise and experience will definitely make her an ideal contender to compete at Miss Universe Colombia 2021, as the pageant will see a lot of accomplished and stunning faces competed for the crown this year. She is already a front-runner for the crown and if she maintains her ravishing aura, she will definitely win the national crown.
