Sharing a wave of excitement with the Colombian pageant fans, Mariano Fernández, the sponsor of Miss Universe Colombia pageant has recently made it official that former Miss International Colombia Anabella Castro Sierra is all set to go for the crown of Miss Universe Colombia 2022 as she prepares to return for the national title.

Mariano posted a picture with the diva as he revealed, “My beautiful Anabella Castro tells me that she wants to be Miss Universe, this year MUC is going to be Bomba!” The diva was not far behind in confirming the news as she responded, “I'm going to give it all!”

25 years-old Anabella stands 177cm tall and is a social communicator and journalist. This will be Castro’s second chance at the national platform as she represented the Cesar Department at the national beauty contest, Señorita Colombia 2017, where she ended up placing in the Top 10 finalists and also bagged the 'Elegancia Prímatela' and 'Reina de la Policía' titles.

Later in 2018, Anabella was appointed as Miss International Colombia 2018 by the Señorita Colombia organization. She then represented Colombia at the Miss International 2018 pageant, where she became the 4th Runner-up marking Colombia's top placement after three years of consecutive unplacement through 2015 to 2017.

This year’s delegate, Miss Universe Colombia 2022, will succeed Miss Universe Colombia 2021 Valeria Ayos, who represented Colombia at Miss Universe 2021 pageant in Israel where she finished as a Top 5 finalist. Annabella is an experienced beauty queen and having being a representative of the country at an international platform, she can definitely prove to be a strong choice for the delegation at the Miss Universe platform.
