The 4th edition of Miss Universe Colombia officially began in December last year with registrations for the aspiring contestants. With pageant fanatics rooting for their favourite Colombian beauty queen to participate, Jasmine Jimenez has announced herself as an official pre-candidate for this year’s national crown.

If Jasmine Jimenez wins the Miss Universe Colombia 2024 crown, she will become the first trans woman to represent Colombia at an esteemed international platform such as Miss Universe. She is not new to the pageant world as she competed in Miss International Queen 2022 and with her stellar performance, she placed as the first runner-up.

On beginning her journey at Miss Universe Colombia 2024, Jasmine took to her official social media as she wrote, “My mother told me one day; the third is the defeat and I’m a faithful believer in the word and her unconditional love. You don't know how happy I am and how proud I feel! Thank you all and so much!”

Miss Universe Colombia organization has removed the age limits and allowed the participation of married women and mothers at the national pageant in adherence to the new Miss Universe rules which allowed Camila Avella last year to represent Colombia at Miss Universe.

The winner of Miss Universe Colombia 2023 María Camila Avella will crown her successor at the end of the finale of the 2024 edition. Camila represented her country at Miss Universe 2023 as the first mother to compete at the esteemed platform and finished in the Top 5 creating history!
