The Miss Universe Curaçao is all set to host the coronation ceremony for a new queen who will be representing the country at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant. The organization has recently announced the Top 3 delegates who will be competing for the crown of Miss Universe Curaçao 2022.
So, without any further ado, let us meet the Top 3 stunning contestants competing for Miss Universe Curaçao 2022 –
Andreina Pereira
Andreina Pereira describes herself to have a very bubbly personality and someone who likes to laugh and make other people laugh. She feels, “Whenever I see someone happy, it makes me happy, so why not spread happiness.” The diva has been a part of several beauty pageants previously. She shared, “Just standing on the stage and imagining myself on the Miss Universe stage, I realized that it brings a lot of responsibility and understanding, to represent your country.”
Pereira has also represented Curaçao, in the past, by playing tennis and understands the sense of responsibility it brings along. She also shared that what makes her extraordinary is that she is someone who is not afraid try anything new and is very determined and driven towards something she set herself to.
She aims to inspire young generation to stop comparing themselves to the lives of others especially on social media. She wants them to see the true beauty that they are, be themselves and be grateful for whatever they have. With a vision to focus on positivity and helping others, she would like to put a spotlight on people with visual or vocal disabilities and to make people aware how they can help them and how they can be a much greater part of the community.
Mariana Pietersz
A jolly and optimistic Mariana loves singing, dancing, is very versatile and always active. Growing up she felt like an outsider as she did not witness many women like her in media and especially in pageantry, which is why she hopes to be a role model for girls like her, who want to achieve a dream that they didn’t think was achievable by believing that despite all adversities and not giving up they can still achieve it.
Mariana aims to normalize conversations around mental health, to make it more understandable to every age. “You should not be ashamed to seek help and there is always hope. I know and I believe that this is one of the main reasons for most of the problems in societies, so I think by talking more about it we can definitely make a change,” she shared. Pietersz believes that her genuinity, level of empathy and willingness to help others makes her extraordinary.
Not new to pageantry the diva holds many titles including Miss Tourism Worldwide 2019, Miss Ecocw 2019 and Miss Avantgarde 2016. She is a mental health advocate and is also the founder of the Eunoia Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on Women Empowerment and Normalizing Holistic Mental Health Conversations.
Gabriela Dos Santos
Describing herself as energetic, compassionate and optimistic, Santos likes to take on a challenge and can easily fit into a multitude of situations. For Gabriela, Miss Curaçao is woman who is inspiring, motivated and a woman who leads, someone who serves in a community and inspires people to not only believe in themselves but also chase their wildest dreams.
“I cannot be other than what I am. I am not perfect, but I am myself. I have a true passion for helping and understanding others. I am empowered, I am brave, I face my fears and I’m, always ready to learn,” she shared.
The diva is a dedicated advocate for women empowerment and wishes for more women to realize that helping another woman win, cheering her on, praying for her or sharing a recourse with her does not take away from the blessings coming to them. She strongly believes that empowered women empower women.
One of these three stunning divas will go ahead to be crowned as Miss Universe Curaçao 2022 and represent the country at the 71st Miss Universe competition. This year’s queen will succeed Miss Universe Curaçao 2021 Shariëngela Cijntje for title.
