Miss Universe Czech Republic 2020 Kla´ra Vavruskova´ revealed her national costume for Miss Universe 2020 through her social media platform as she prepares for her stint at the upcoming pageant. The costume is a reflection of Czech folklore across many regions, designed for this occasion by a renowned designer Yvona Leitner.

The costume was made using the traditional Blueprint technology which was inscribed on the UNESCO representative list in 2018. Interesting techniques were transformed into a modern current model to produce this stunning costume. The pleats which were used for the sleeves is a typical of Czech national costumes, as well as the Blueprint from the workroom in Strážnice which is small Village on Southern Moravia with colorful history. This special technique is unique and very rare.

The crown, a statement piece in the costume, was created by Anna Škarda and her brand on the basis of the overall design of the national costume. The crown is decorated with textile flowers with blueprints - which is the main traditional element and motif of the whole costume.

Klara mentioned earlier that it has always been a dream of her to represent her country at international stage. Where with Miss Earth’s platform she was able to work in the society for environment, she feels that with Miss Universe’s platform she will be able to take her advocacy to a broader stage. She is very passionate about using the platform to make a good and positive impact on the society. She describes herself as sharp, determined, and confident to win the title.

Miss Universe 2020 will host the National Costume competition on 13th May 2021 with a live broadcast. Miss Universe Czech Republic 2020 Kla´ra Vavrus?kova´ will represent Czech Repulic at the 69th edition of Miss Universe on 16th May 2021 in the United States. The winner will succeed Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa for the title.
