Miss Denmark organization, through their official social media, announced the reigning Miss Denmark Nikoline Uhrenholt Hansen as Miss Universe Denmark 2023 and will now prepare to represent Denmark at Miss Universe 2023. Nikoline was crowned Miss Denmark 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held on 27th August 2023 in Cirkusbygningen.

Nikoline is 21 years of age and originally hails from a small town in the north of Denmark. She moved to Copenhagen to study marketing and economics, and wants to work in social media and content creation in the fashion and beauty industry in the future. She also works at a cosmetic clinic as a receptionist and personal assistant.

Through her reign, Nikoline hopes to encourage equality in society and hopes to contribute to a world where people have the same opportunities no matter who you are. She has also worked with Danish Heart Organization and won the best charity ambassador award for the same.

On being adjudged as Miss Universe Denmark 2023, Nikoline took to her official social media as she wrote, “I am so extremely grateful and happy to announce, that I have been chosen as your Miss Universe Denmark 2023!”

“So much has happened to me the past year and I have evolved so much as a person. I believe that I am ready to take on the universe. I am now a strong woman who believes in myself for exactly who I am. This journey I am about to embark on will be my biggest experience and journey yet. I am so excited and thrilled to compete for such a huge, important and meaningful competition and I can’t wait to show more of my personality, what I believe in and unfold my dreams”, she wrote.

Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, will be held in El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
