At the finals of Miss Universe Germany 2014 held on August 31' 2014 in Germany, Josefin Donat was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2014. She succeeds the beautiful Anne-Julia Hagen, Miss Universe Germany 2013. Josefin hails from Leipzig, and is 20 years old. She will now represent Germany at Miss Universe 2014 pageant. The first runner-up was Sandra Somodevilla, while Valmira Krasniqi finished as the second runner-up.
Miss Universe Germany 2014 selections commenced with screening and auditions for around 150 applicants, from which fifteen (15) semi-finalists were shortlisted. After conducting an online poll, three 'most liked' contestants were selected as finalists, and seven other finalists were selected by the jury. The ten (10) finalists so selected and announced on August 18' 2014 competed for the Miss Universe Germany 2014 title on August 31' 2014, which was won by Josefin Donat.
