At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Universe Germany 2017 held last night, Sophia Koch (aka Sophia Mala) was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2017. She succeeds Miss Universe Germany 2016, Johanna Acs and will now represent Germany in Miss Universe 2017 pageant to be held later this year. Her court included Sophie Imelmann, the first runner-up and Dalina Staszewski, the second runner-up.

Sophia, Sophie and Dalina were all part of our Top 5 favourites to win the competition.

Sophia Koch is 20 years of age and stands tall at 170 cm. She represented the province of Saxony-Anhalt in the competition. Sophia, besides being a professional model, is a student of sociology and German literature at the Martin Luther University. With almost perfect facial features and an hourglass figure, she will surely make a positive impression at Miss Universe 2017 competition.

Other finalists who competed at the finale were Jasmin Griebl, Mona Schafnitzl, Tanja Gremmelmaier, Camilla Schenkel, Mara Weinert, Christina Peno and Vivien Wehner.

Germany has won the Miss Universe title only once, and that was way back in the year 1961 with Marlene Schmidt from Germany becoming Miss Universe 1961. 56 years later, Sophia would like to change that count for her country!
