Miss Universe Germany 2018 is scheduled for a few weeks from now, i.e, August 19, 2018. The pageant had closed its application for contestants on 31st May, 2018, and has now also announced the names of the contestants that will be fighting for the chance to represent Germany at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant.
At the conclusion of the Finale night of Miss Universe Germany 2018, Miss Universe Germay 2017 Sophia Koch will be passing down her crown to one of the Top 10 finalists, who will then represent Germany at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant where Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will crown her successor.

The glamorous closing event with participants from more than 90 countries is being watched by over one billion people worldwide. No wonder that for many participants the choice of choice is the springboard of an international model career.’
Miss Germany started in 1952. Miss Universe Germany started in 2009. Currently, the German franchise of Miss Universe is owned by former Miss Nederland winner Kim Kötter. She is also the franchiser of Miss Nederland and Miss Overijssel beauty pageants in the neighbouring Netherlands. In Miss Universe Germany all the States of Germany but also some of the regions are represented as well.
