Renata Guerra was crowned Miss Universe Goias 2023 at the finale of the state pageant held on Sunday, 7th May 2023 as she became the official representative of her state at Miss Universe Brazil 2023. She created history by becoming the first mother to be crowned as the state titleholder of Miss Universe Brazil 2023.

She was applauded by her 4-year-old daughter who was present at the finale as she ran on stage to congratulate her mother. Born in Anápolis, Renata is 27 years of age and a model and a singer. She first set foot in the world of pageantry at the age of 15. She has worked for six years as a model abroad in London, England, where she learned to speak English. She is married and has a daughter Samira.

Renata always had the dream of becoming Miss Universe Brazil and her victory was only possible because Miss Universe took the historic decision to change the rules of the competition as it would begin to accept women who are or were married, as well as pregnant women or who have children.

Renata represented the city of Alto Paraíso de Goiás at the finals. Jéssica Alves, Anna Boaro, Izadora Alves, Kailainny Fernanda and Isabela Figueiredo were adjudged as the runners-up respectively. The pageant was broadcast live on YouTube, on the Miss Universe Brazil channel.

The finale date of Miss Universe Brazil, however, has not yet been announced. The organization has revealed that the award will exceed R$ 150,000 and in addition to the crown and a place in Miss Universe, the winner will sign a contract worth BRL 150,000, prizes worth BRL 50,000, a domestic and an international trip.
