The Miss Universe Great Britain organization hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2021 edition on 16th October 2021 at the Riverfront Arts Centre in Newport, where stunning delegates from all over the country competed for the national crown and an opportunity to represent the country at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe pageant. At the end of the event, Emma Rose Collingridge was crowned as the new queen as she succeeded Miss Universe Great Britain 2020 Jeanette Akua for the title.

The 23-year- old part time model hails from Ipswich, Suffolk (a ceremonial county of England in East Anglia). She is a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in English Honours from Loughborough University and works at Prestige Crown Cases.

Not new to pageantry, Emma was Miss Teen Great Britain 2015. She was also crowned Miss Galaxy UK 2019 and represented the UK at Miss Galaxy 2019 where she was placed as the second runner-up. She bested 28 other contestants to win the Miss Universe Great Britain 2021 title.

Second runner-up - Amy Meisak

She shared her excitement on her social media saying, “It is an absolute honour to hold the responsibility of the Miss Universe Great Britain title and I am so excited for what is to come.” She was also recently spotted attending a self-defence workshop to learn personal security skills and said it was an empowering experience. She also runs a campaign called “Draw the Line” focusing on women empowerment and alike causes.

On being asked about what is something that she would say to her younger self, the queen shared, “I would tell my younger self that she is not responsible for the version of herself other people have created in their minds.”

“Over the years I have learnt that other people’s behaviour and opinions of you are more often than not a reflection of their own personality and insecurities, and not a reflection of you. Instead, walk away from toxicity, focus your energy on what is within your control in order to achieve happiness and strive for your goals,” she added.

Miss Universe Great Britain 2020 Jeanette Akua represented Great Britain at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant, earlier this year, where she made it to the top 21. This year, Miss Universe Great Britain 2021 Emma Rose Collingridge will head on to represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2021 to be held in December 2021 in Eilat, Israel. Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
