The winner of the contest will also step on stage during dress rehearsals.

If rumours are to be believed, the third runner-up of Miss Universe 2011 Shamcey Supsup-Lee of Philippines might co-host the gala finale with Steve Harvey. Italy has always managed to send gorgeous girls to the pageant but fails to make any placement as such. Also, the country has never a won a major beauty pageant. At the finale of Miss Universe 1994 held in Manila, Italy placed as one of the Top 10 finalists. This could be because of lack of training and proper grooming.
