Miss Universe Italy 2020 Viviana Vizzini revealed her national costume for Miss Universe 2020 a few hours ago on her social media as she shared, “The Italian national costume that I will proudly wear on the stage of Miss Universe.” The national costume, inspired by the nation’s fight against the pandemic is dedicated to the people of Italy.
Viviana also wrote, “My Italy - a nation that sang and shouted from its balconies, with banners and our beautiful tricolor flag on display...The people who fought the virus, suffered and cried; but above all we lost those we loved most.” The Miss Universe organisation also shared the national costume as they wrote, “Which seems to have been designed by the most skilled of artists and painters. Miss Universe Italy Viviana Vizzini embodies the message of hope and courage.”
Without having lost the desire to fight, with the hope to start flying again soon, the costume, designed by Stefano Nicolao, depicts how even in a world trapped by the cage of Covid, a beautiful multi-coloured butterfly can still spread it’s wings. A butterfly that embodies a message of hope and courage. Viviana also added, “We have not lost our will to fight. As the beautiful butterfly spreads her wings, Italy affirms our belief in our ability to fly again stronger then ever.”
Viviana is 27-years-old and graduated as an accountant and is completing her bachelor's degree in communication science and digital marketing at ECampus. She is passionate about modelling, and is an influencer, presenter, and philanthropist. She believes in, “Spread the love wherever you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”
She is a positive, humble, and honest person who wishes to carry out only positivity with her wherever she goes. For Viviana, Miss Universe is not just a competition but it’s a family, a lifestyle, and an inspiration she lives by.
Miss Universe 2020 will host the National Costume competition on 13th May 2021 with a live broadcast. Miss Universe Italy 2020 Viviana Vizzini will represent Italy at the 69th edition of Miss Universe on 16th May 2021 in the United States. The winner will succeed Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa for the title.
