Momoko Abe crowned as Miss Universe Japan 2017

The magnificent finale of Miss Universe Japan 2017 has concluded with the crowning of Momoko Abe as the winner. The finals took place at Hotel Tokyo at Chinzan Plaza Building. Momoko will now represent Japan in the prestigious Miss Universe 2017 beauty pageant to be held later this year. She was crowned by the beautiful Sari Nakazawa, Miss Universe Japan 2016.

Standing tall at a towering height of 5’9″, Momoko is the daughter of TV reporter, Yuji Abe, and retired celebrity pro-golfer Masako Abe. Momoko has been the front runner since her coronation as Miss Universe Chiba 2017 late last year.
 
At the same pageant, Haruka Fukuoka was titled first runner-up, Ayaka Koshiba was announced as the second runner-up, Natsuki Konishi was announced as the third runner-up, and Tomoka Konno finished as fourth runner-up. The pageants kicked off with the introduction of the contestants, followed by a series of musical performances. The finalists looked energized and the audiences were equally excited.
 
Following contestants made it to the Top 13 finalists based on their performance at the Preliminary Competition (Swimsuit and Evening Gown) –

In addition to announcing the winner and the runners-up, a series of Special Awards were also awarded under the following category –
