Miss Universe Laos 2022 Payengxa Lor, who is currently in USA preparing for her international stint at Miss Universe 2022, has showcased her traditional costume which will be presented at the national costume competition of Miss Universe 2022.

By the Lao traditions, through the costume this year, the three tribes of Lao Keummu, Lao Koumou, Lao and Lao Mong tribes will be presented. The traditional costume of modern Mong tribes by the costume that uses the local fabric of each tribe, designed to be compatible with love and the unity of the Lao people is only with embroidery and silver coins that are unique of the nation of Laos. Laos people don't care about the ethnicity but just respect each other.

Payengxa Lor was currently in Las Vegas where she interviewed with NBC News. Lor is 21 years of age and a business management student at the Lao American College. She will be the first woman of Hmong descent to take part in the Miss Universe pageant.

Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
