Miss International Northern Marianas 2022 Savannah Lyn Delos Santos created history for her country by winning the first ever Top 15 placement at the recently held Miss International 2022. For the same, she was honored with Senate recognition and commendation for her historic achievement.

Senator Vinnie Sablan and the Members of the Senate of the 22nd Commonwealth Legislature adopted a Senate Resolution to recognize and commend her service to the CNMI community. They recognized and commended Savannah for her exemplary service and outstanding representation of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands during the 60th Miss International Beauty Pageant.

“It’s crazy to see such a huge plaque with several of my achievements and accolades in life. I have to say that it feels a little weird to be recognized in such a grand way. I still don’t know how to feel. Just like with several of the wins I’ve had recently, I’m still in shock. I’m extremely grateful though I promise. I wish I could share this honor more with everyone and add all your names onto this plaque. There are so many people I have to thank so this is just my temporary surprise post. But I have another one coming”, she quoted on her official social media.

For the first time in history, the Northern Marianas placed in the semi-finals in a major international pageant during the 60th Miss International edition which was held on 13th December 2022 in Tokyo, Japan. It was indeed a special moment not just for the beauty queen but for the whole country.
