The finale night of Miss Universe Laos 2023 witnessed Phaimany Lathsabanthao being crowned as the new winner of the 2023 edition as she became the official representative of Laos at Miss Universe 2023. The finale was held on Sunday night, 23rd July 2023 at the National Convention Hall in Vientiane.

Phaimany Lathsabanthao bested 14 other competitors to be crowned Miss Universe Laos 2023. She is 28 years of age and a business administration graduate of the National University of Laos. This was Phaimany’s second stint at the Miss Universe Laos competition as she was adjudged as the first runner-up last year. She also participated in Miss Laos twice where she won Miss Photogenic in 2018 and placed in the Top 15 in 2021.

The newly crowned Miss Universe Laos 2023 Phaimany Lathsabanthao’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Phiranya Thipphomvong of Houaphanh

2nd Runner-up – Phavina Mounvongsa of Bolikhamxai

Top 6 finalists also included Deth Xaivanhsee of Oudomxay, Budseng Vongchanthum of Vientiane, and Vaniphone Phoumixay of Vientiane Prefecture.

Phaimany Lathsabanthao succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Laos 2022 Payengxa Lor. Lor was the first Hmong woman to win the national title and achieved highest placement of Top 16 at Miss Universe 2022 for her country in New Orleans, USA.
