The finale of Miss Universe Latvia 2022 was held on Wednesday, 12th October 2022 where Kate Alexeeva (full name: Jekaterina Aleksejeva) was crowned as the official Miss Universe Latvia 2022. She was crowned by Miss Universe Latvia national director Inga Raduga.

Kate Alexeeva is 27 years of age and an international model and influencer from Riga. She bested four other finalists to win the national crown. Kate Alexeeva is the founder of the beauty, cosmetics and personal care brand Glambox. Not new to the pageantry, she has previously participated in international pageants such as Top Model of the World, Miss Grand International, to name a few. Kate is a fluent speaker of Latvian, Russian, and English.

On winning the national crown, Kate took to her official social media as she wrote, "Something unbelievable has just happened and made me the happiest girl on Earth! My heart rate is going to space as I’m writing it! I will represent my beloved Latvia at Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans upcoming January! I couldn’t be more grateful to the juries, to my family, friends and supporters, photographers, designers and literally every single person who put their trust in me, contributes, inspires me and makes this journey possible. It’s all just the beginning and I promise not to let you down”.

Also, the first runner-up position was awarded to Anastasija Aleksejevska while the second runner-up went to Viktorija Samule. The third runner-up position was awarded to Anastasija Reshetova and fourth runner-up went to Liene Leitane.

After 16 years, Inga Raduga Model Management received the license to send the next Latvian representative to the prestigious international pageant. Latvia debuted at Miss Universe in 2005 with Ieva Kokorevica and managed to place in the Top 10. The European country last joined in 2006. Kate Alexeeva will now prepare to represent Latvia at the 71st Miss Universe pageant which will be held on 14th January 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
