Tato Jitana Khidaphone, who was initially appointed Miss Earth Laos 2022, was crowned with the title and her crown in a special ceremony held on 12th October 2022 at the Laotel Hotel & Resort in Vientiane.

Tato Jitana Khidaphone is 23 years of age and a model by profession. She is an Environmental Science graduate from the National University of Laos. She is currently pursuing her master's degree at the National University of Laos. Tato participated in a field training course in Conservation Biology & Global Health of the Human - Environment Interface.

Tato Jitana Khidaphone succeeds Miss Earth Laos 2021 Roungfa Lattanasamay. Lattanasamay debuted Laos’ participation at Miss Earth 2021 but failed to place in Top 20. The country has not won Miss Earth crown yet.

Tato Jitana Khidaphone will go on to compete at Miss Earth 2022. Miss Earth 2022, the 22nd edition of the Miss Earth, will be held on 29th November 2022 where Destiny Wagner of Belize will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
