Samantha Katie is a 22 year old mixed Chinese and Brazilian beauty who hails from Kuala Lumpur. She is one of the eighteen finalists at the 54th edition at Miss Universe Malaysia 2017, an annual national pageant held to select the most deserving candidate as an envoy of Malaysia for one of the renowned Big 4 pageants, Miss Universe. Samantha has entered the competition with full dedication and focus to win the crown, so that she can represent her country at the Miss Universe 2017 and bring pride to her country.

The model and artist was brought up in Klang. Despite her mixed cultural backgrounds, she considers herself to be a true Malaysian at heart. One of the most interesting hobbies that she has is a love for different languages. Samantha loves to learn new languages and has already obtained proficiency in four of them, besides Portuguese.
