Miss Universe Malaysia organization will host The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2022 competition, in the month of June, returning after a year’s gap. Malaysia is geared up to crown a new queen to represent the nation at the Miss Universe pageant in 2022.

The organization recently hosted the National Auditions for this year’s edition on the 5th & 6th March 2022 where stunning aspirants from all over the country showcased their potential to grab a spot in the competition.

While many strong aspirants applied for the competition this year, only 15 have been shortlisted as the finalists for the crown. Coming in as shock, many major favourites have faced a downfall as they did not make it to the cut.

Vibha, who has been a fan favourite for the past two editions was unreachable according to sources whereas, two of the most anticipated divas, Gillian and Melisha Lin have reportedly withdrawn from the competition this year.

Major disappointments brewed as the reigning Miss Globe Malaysia 2021 Malveen Kaur who auditioned for the title was also nowhere to be seen among the finalists as she apparently did not pass the requirements to move ahead. Joining the league were two more favourites, Hana and Jade.

The organization is looking for divas who are able to personify the values and attributes of being a Miss Universe Malaysia including, confidence, strong work ethics, commitment, professionalism, talent, grace and beauty. While none of these divas have opened up about the same, Melisha Lin did come forward to reply to her fans as she ensured to “be back soon” for the national title.

The shortlisted 15 finalists will participate in the Boot-Camp scheduled to take place in April the official pageant week will take place in June along with the grand Gala night. This year’s winner will succeed Miss Universe Malaysia 2020 Francisca Luhong James, who represented the country at 69th Miss Universe, finishing among the Top 21 finalists.
