Miss Maurice Organization Announced Vandana Jeetah as the new representative of the country at the Miss Universe 2020 just few hours ago. She has succeeded Miss Universe Mauritius 2019 Ornella Lafleche and is very excited to be representing Mauritius at the international stage.
Hailing from Center-de-Flacq, Vandana is 28-years-old and recently earned her Master’s Degree in Law and is currently working as an in-house lawyer. She is actively involved in the community with the Lions Club. Vandana is also a founder member and the Past President of the Leo Club of Flacq.
The diva is not new to the pageantry as she was the part of Miss Universe Mauritius 2019 where she emerged as a potential winner for the title but unfortunately couldn’t win but was adjudged as one of the finalists at the end of the event finale. She has shown immense amount of confidence and potential and her hard work has finally paid off as she will be representing the country at Miss Universe 2020 stage.
Vandana’s focus revolves around the environment with projects such as coral farming which is crucial for the restoration of the Mauritian coral reefs. Her hobbies include mountain trails and travelling. She loves running with her mother, a perfect time for both to catch up. She likes to travel and believes that traveling opens a lot of new adventures and experiences for an individual. She is strong, confident, and focused towards her goal which is to bring glory to the home country. With her confidence, she will surely have a few tricks up her sleeves to maintain a sturdy foothold in the pageant and win the national crown.
The diva has already started to work on her walk and speech lessons as she feels that she needs to work on her skills and abilities to win the title. She has also expressed her gratitude towards the organization and her family and friends who have kept her motivated throughout the competition and pushed her to perform her best.
Miss Maurice Organization also announced Thriya Hemraz as Miss Supranational Mauritius 2020, Cheasta Ramdhooneea as Miss Asia Pacific International Mauritius 2020, and Samanta Luchoo as Miss Landscapes Mauritius 2020.
