Amara Bo, representing Kengtung, was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2023 at the finals of the national pageant held in Yangon on Thursday, 14th September 2023. Amara will now proceed to represent Myanmar at Miss Universe 2023.
The 26-year-old stunning Myanmar queen bested 30 other contestants to win the national crown. This was her second attempt at the national pageant as she competed in Miss Universe Myanmar 2022 and placed in the Top 10 at the finale.
Standing 181 cm tall, Amara Bo has a great frame and strong features. She is a Computer Science graduate from University of Computer Studies, Mandalay (UCSM). Amara is currently working as a freelance model and placed in Top 5 at The Model Academy Season3.
Amara would like to become an inspiration and a motivation to others through her reign. She also wants to become a role model for women not only to have sympathy and empathy but also to embrace the differences and imperfections they have and love their authentic self.
On winning the national crown, Amara took to her official social media as she wrote, “It is my second time to compete for the Miss Universe Myanmar. I'm very happy as I win the crown this time. I will prepare my best to represent Myanmar in the international competition.”
Also at the end of the event finale, Dee of Mawlamyine, Khaymar Budathoki of Bhamo, Nang Nandar Linn of Tachileik, No No May of Pathein, and Thin Sandar Pyae Thiha Aung of Pyin Oo Lwin were adjudged as the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively.
Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, will be held in El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
