While the list of delegates is yet to be announced, there are a few divas who are on all the wish lists to compete at Miss Universe Nepal 2020 and Priya Sigdel is one of them. This Nepali beauty has caught everyone’s attention with her beauty and grace.

Hailing from Kathmandu, Priya is 24-years-old and stands 177cm tall and is a is a Development Studies graduate from National College, Baluwatar. She is not new to the world of beauty pageants as she was the part of Miss Nepal 2018 where she was adjudged as the second runner-up and later represented Nepal at Miss Earth 2018 stage where she was placed in the Top 18 finalists.

Priya is the country coordinator for UDAAN Foundation and Global Changemakers 2017 from Zurich Switzerland. She is also working with SAJHA PARTY and now she is the national vice - coordinator of the Sajha Youth Organization. The diva has been empowering women from marginalized communities in Nepal by working as a founder director in HATTIHATTI. It is a social organization where women are given education and practical training, where these women get the chance to become skilled resources.

To express her nostalgia and experience of Miss Nepal 2018, the gorgeous Nepali beauty queen took to her social media and wrote, “Tough, Tougher, Toughest was this one year but more than that it was precious, extra precious, extremely precious was this one year with you girls. Whenever someone asks me about Miss Nepal 2018 journey, I remember us; us being so crazy, us being so dramatic, us being so dedicated, us being so emotional, us being so food lovers, us being just us.”

Priya aspires to be responsible for the nation and her joining the politics in a way is one way for doing so. She added, “Once you have won a title in Miss Nepal, especially the one among the top three’s, many people expect to see you as a cine actor, model, fashion designer or a host of any television programs, next. But I choose politics being a youth and I want to learn from those who are experienced in this field.” We’d love to see her back on-stage and use the platform to carry forward the advocacy she has started off with.

If Priya decides to participate, she can be a tough contender for the title as she is experienced, is aware of the platform’s influence, and aspires to do something good for the country and the women across the globe. She has also raised her voice as an activist for the acceptance of humans as they are in regards of their religion, beliefs, traditions, etc. She mentioned, “Even the person whom we idolize or follow are not perfect but what makes them unique is, they work on their strengths and don't let weaknesses pull them down but work on it.”

Priya Sigdel is one of the bravest, strongest, and confident delegates whose name appeared in the various wish list and if she participates, she can use the platform to speak for every woman in the world. We’d love to see her on-stage and perform her best at the competition even though it’s a virtual one.
