Sophiya Bhujel, representing Nepal, is the silent killer of the Miss Universe 2022 edition. She never outshined during the preparations leading up to the 71st edition but now she is emerging as one of the strongest delegates. Especially with the reveal of the national costume, Sophiya has become a constant top scorer at the leader board.
Not new to the pageant world, in 2019, Sophiya Bhujel competed against 25 other candidates at Miss Nepal 2019 where she finished in the Top 7. Also in 2019, Bhujel represented Nepal at Global Asian Model 2019 at The Cove Theatre of Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines where she finished in the Top 10. In 2022 as well, Bhujel represented Nepal at Miss Eco International 2022 and competed against 39 other candidates at the Jolie Ville Resort & SPA kings Island Luxor in Luxor, Egypt where she finished in the Top 21. With her strong representation of Nepal at various international pageants, Sophiya has the experience and skill required to win a strong placement at Miss Universe.
Sophiya Bhujel is 26 years of age and stands 5 feet 8 inches tall. Born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, Sophiya went to Mount Hermon School Darjeeling, India. The stunning beauty holds a bachelor’s degree in business management. With her hard work and sincerity, Sophiya could be another strong contender for the Miss Universe 2022 crown.
Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, is all set to be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
