Miss Universe Nepal 2022, the 3rd edition of Miss Universe Nepal, was held on 25th August 2022. At the end of the event finale, Sophiya Bhujel was crowned the new queen as she is all set to represent Nepal in Miss Universe 2022. Sophiya Bhujel is 26 years of age and stands 5 feet 8 inches tall. Born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, Sophiya went to Mount Hermon School Darjeeling, India. The stunning beauty holds a bachelor’s degree in business management.
On winning the national crown, Sophiya took to her official social media as she wrote, “Finally making an official post! Somebody pinch me! I am Sophiya Bhujel. Your Miss Universe Nepal 2022. Took me a while to let the feeling sink in..something I’ve dreamt of from a long time. Thank you everyone for all the love & support.”
“Thank you for believing in me! It was a rollercoaster ride for me but I learnt one thing that is, ‘the desire of success should always be greater than the fear of failure’. If you believe in something with all your heart, and work for it, then the Universe itself will help you achieve it. Starts from believing in yourself and putting in the action. If I can, trust me you also can”, she added.
Not new to the pageant world, in 2019, Sophiya Bhujel competed against 25 other candidates at Miss Nepal 2019 at the Laboratory Higher Secondary School in Kirtipur, Nepal. She finished in the Top 7. Also in 2019, Bhujel represented Nepal at Global Asian Model 2019 at The Cove Theatre of Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines where she finished in the Top 10.
In 2022 as well, Bhujel represented Nepal at Miss Eco International 2022 and competed against 39 other candidates at the Jolie Ville Resort & SPA kings Island Luxor in Luxor, Egypt where she finished in the Top 21. With her strong representation of Nepal at various international pageants, Sophiya has the experience and skill required to compete at pageant such as Miss Universe. With her stunning beauty, a charming personality and a drive to do better for her country, Sophiya will surely be a strong contender for Miss Universe 2022 crown.
