Miss Universe Nepal organization, through their official social media, announced the official national costume that Jane Garrett Miss Universe Nepal 2023 will be showcasing at Miss Universe 2023.

The costume is titled ‘The Path to Peace’ as Jane wants to present the message around global harmony and peace. As expressed through the costume, Jane wishes to talk about a world flawed by conflict which often leads people to confine the dove, symbolizing peace, within a cage.

Through the costume, Jane wants to show the essence of peace and contain the destructive power of missiles instead. “We are translating this powerful concept into an artistic costume, aiming to convey a profound message of peace, a sentiment deeply ingrained in Nepal's identity as a peace-loving nation. Nepal represents peace through its longstanding commitment to non-violence, its peaceful coexistence with diverse cultures, and its status as a neutral and harmonious nation”, the organization wrote.

Conceptualized and sculpted by Maharajan Vijay and outfit presented by Kaavya Soul of Fashion, the costume is meticulously designed in colors that resonate with the choices of peace advocates, symbolizing their unwavering commitment to the cause of peace.

Jane Garrett is the first ever plus-size delegate to win Miss Universe Nepal 2023 and a body positivity advocate. She is currently preparing to represent her country at Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe will be held in El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
