Julie Marie Tollefsen was crowned Miss Universe Norway 2023 at the finale of the 73rd edition of Miss Norway held on 5th August 2023 at the DOGA, Oslo, Norway. Since then, Julie has been preparing to represent her country at Miss Universe 2023.

Julie Tollefsen is 27 years of age and hails from Oslo, Norway. She is a Norwegian fashion designer and makeup artist by profession. She graduated from the Oslo campus of the École supérieure des arts et techniques de la mode (ESMOD).

Previously, Julie has worked as a design assistant at ESP and as a product developer at Voice Norge AS. In 2022, she joined Varner, a fashion retailer in Asker, Viken, Norway, as a designer.

Currently, Norway has 17 Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Mona Grudt in 1990. The most recent one was in 2005 when Helene Tråsavik finished in the Top 15.

Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, is scheduled to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
