Erica Robin was crowned Miss Universe Pakistan 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held last week on Thursday, 14th September 2023. Since then, Erica stepped into an awe-inspiring journey as she broke stereotypes to reach El Salvador to Miss Universe 2023. Pakistan is all set to debut at Miss Universe under Erica's delegation and there is no doubt she will represent her country with sincerity and dedication.
Erica Robin is 24 years of age and a model by profession. Erica was born in 1999 to a Christian family in Pakistan. She graduated from St. Patrick’s Girls High School in Karachi in 2014. Erica began her training in the Philippines where she learned proper training as a beauty queen working on her oratory skills and catwalk.
Breaking stereotypes not just for the women of her country, but for women all over the world, Erica has landed in El Salvador. Her journey has not been easy; she faced a lot of backlash from her own country on her participation at Miss Universe. Ever since her crowning, people are hopeful for her to gain a strong stand at international stage.
On winning the Miss Universe Pakistan 2023 crown, Erica took to her official social media as she expressed, “I am honored and humbled to be the first ever Miss Universe Pakistan and I want to highlight the beauty of Pakistan. We have a beautiful culture that the media is not talking about, Pakistani people are very generous, kind, and hospitable. I would like to invite everyone to visit my country and try the most sumptuous Pakistani cuisines and explore our enchanting nature, our snow-capped mountains, our greeneries, and our progressive landscapes."
On being asked what is the biggest stereotype that is attached to her profession, Erica talked about how being a model in her country is not appreciated by many people. She feels like people don’t respect the profession as much as other jobs. Her eloquence and confidence is what won her the crown.
Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, will be held in El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
