Miss Panama organization, through their official social media, announced the official acquisition of the license of Miss Universe Panama as well as the responsibility of selecting the candidate who will represent Panama in Miss Universe 2023. The pageant has now officially begun as fifteen finalists have been selected to compete for Miss Universe Panama 2023.

The batch boasts of stunning and talented beauties who will be strong representatives at the national pageant. The organization aims to create a social platform that will allow the empowerment, security and confidence of Panamanian women, through comprehensive preparation to become agents of change and cause a positive social impact.

Miss Universe Panama 2022 Solaris Barba represented Panama at Miss Universe 2022 but failed to place in the Top 16. Panama holds one Miss Universe title under its belt which it won in 2002 when Justine Pasek won Miss Universe.
