The first edition of Miss Universe Philippines i.e., Miss Universe Philippines 2020, will be hosted on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila; where the delegates from all over the country will compete for the national title and a chance to represent the country at Miss Universe 2020. Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Alaiza Flor Malinao representing the Davao City is 26-years-old and stands 175cm tall. She is a Psychology graduate and now works as a professional model. She has been a very strong contender for the title and shows immense dedication towards winning it and representing the Philippines at Miss Universe 2020 stage.

The beauty commenced her career in pageantry when she first joined Binibining Pilipinas 2015. But unfortunately, she could not secure her place in the pageant at that time and she did not return after that. Moreover, she was one of the Philippines representatives for Asia's Next Top Model Season 4 but she bowed out of the regional modelling search and lost in Elite Model Look Asia. With hardwork, desire to win and determination, Alaiza participated in the first edition of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 and is already one of the fans’ favourite.

Even though the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant is on hold for now because of the pandemic, but Alaiza has performed exceedingly well in the pre-pageant activities that took place prior to the lockdown. She looks beautiful and is very clear with her words and opinions. She is one of those women who feel happy in seeing the other women succeed and that’s the role model she aspires to be. She is a big fan of local brands who advocates to improve the lives of the Filipino people through sustainable livelihood. Her work with various designers and brands in the Philippines and across the world has helped her raise her experience as well as knowledge about beauty pageants and she is one of the strongest and loved contenders for the title.

Alaiza is now social distancing at her home and prepping herself for the competition by working on her skills. She is also helping the front liners and the local people by providing them with essentials like food and water for survival. Under her Move Food Initiative, Alaiza is trying her best to help the one in need and urging her fans and followers to stay home and safe. She is also advocating about staying fit and performing at least 15 minutes physical workout to everyone.

With her dedication and will, we think she is close to winning the title and representing Philippines at Miss Universe 2020.
