Most promising advocacies of Miss Universe Philippines 2020

Miss Universe Philippines, under the new roles and leadership, is hosting the debut edition where stunning beauties are competing for the national crown and the opportunity to represent Philippines in Miss Universe 2020. Gazini Ganados Miss Universe Philippines 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

The organization will be giving life to three roles that it will play for the country for the next few months in search for the next queen. The organization will provide guidance on how to fight the challenges brought because of Covid-19. It will also inspire Filipinos to seek the best versions of themselves during the new normal. It will create initiatives that will bring Filipinos together to do meaningful work.

Recently, the organization has revealed the advocacies of the delegates under Downy Premium Parfum and a tagline “The passions that never fade”. The audience gets to vote for their favourite delegate’s passion i.e., advocacy and the top 3 winners will be rewarded. All the delegates have worked hard and passionately towards their goals and advocacies and they want to change the society for good but we’ve selected Top 10 passionate advocacies that we feel have the potential to win.

Alaiza Flor Malinao is representing the city of Davao at the competition. Alaiza is using the platform to advocate for the food security and sustainable farming. Pauline Amelinckx is representing the city of Bohol at the competition. Pauline is using the platform to advocate about the Marine Conservation Through Arts where she tries to make the young mind understand the importance of marine conservation through arts. Recently, she sent out “Hope in a Box” packages for the kids which included colouring books with marine animals. Michele Gumabao is representing the city of Quezon at the competition. Michele is using the platform to empower the youth through sports. She built a volleyball camp in 2012 which seeks to give children the potentially life-altering option of choosing volleyball as passion. Mariam L. Ashraf Abd El Hamid is representing the city of Capiz at the competition. Mariam is using the platform to fight against the bullying and discrimination in the world. Kimberly Hakenson is representing the city of Cavite at the competition. Kimberly is using the platform to empower women. She wants to empower the women in her country so that they will be able to work towards their dreams and goals. She believes in self-love as it is one of the most important things that everyone should work on. Ericka Evangelista is representing the city of Rizal at the competition. Ericka is using the platform to advocate about teen empowerment. Ericka has always urged the teenager or youth to not let one setback or failure define them. Sharing her story with everyone she aspires to reach out to people and help them build the confidence like her mentors did for her. She is also an advocate of Mental Health especially for the teenagers and youth. Maricres Valdez Castro is representing the city of Muntinlupa at the competition. Maricres is using the platform to advocate about adoption rights. The diva believes that every child in the world deserves a home and love of the parents in order to be a successful man/woman in future.
