The 67th edition of Miss Venezuela 2020 will be held on 24th September 2020 in Caracas, Venezuela in Venevisión Studio 1 which offers a two-hour space program, in which the candidates will parade in a swimsuit, cocktail dress and gala dress. 22 finalists from all over the country have been selected to compete for the national title as well as an opportunity to represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2020 stage. Miss Venezuela 2018 Isabella Rodriguez will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The pageant will also crown the winners who will represent the country at Miss World 2020 and Miss International 2020.
The pre-pageant activities will start from 26th June 2020 where the delegates will be tested, judged, and prepared for finale event. The organization has recently announced the commencement of the pre-pageant activities under a new dynamic due to the coronavirus pandemic. The pre-pageant activities are very important for the delegates as they must prove their potential for the title. Miss Venezuela organization aims to crown a beauty queen who is inspiring, purposeful, and self-confident and is ready to represent Venezuela at international pageant. Miss Venezuela, proud of its history, evolves to "Make beauty a movement that empowers Venezuelan women."
The organization has indicated that the programming and the choice of the winners will be different. "Circumstances force us that some parts are made up of face-to-face dynamics with the candidates in our studios and other segments covered digitally and remotely, as the rules require," she points out. The organization also stated that the part of this path to Miss Venezuela 2020 has already begun with the process of training and selection of the 22 candidates who this year are running for the crown.
"Adapting to a new work scheme to meet the goals and move forward, in Venevisión and in Miss Venezuela, we never stopped and we have ready for our audience all content planning and activities that will be part of a special program with the candidates to Miss Venezuela 2020 towards the night of the election of this year's winners ", both organizations affirm. Lastly, the organization stated that there will be only 22 delegates this year because the states Bolívar, Amazonas and Delta Amacuro will be represented by the new band Guayana Region.
Last year, Thalia Olvino was crowned Miss Venezuela 2019 and represented Venezuela at Miss Universe 2019 and was placed as a Top 20 finalist at the end of the event finale. She was highly appreciated for her strong performance at the competition.
