With Miss Universe Philippines separating from Binibining Pilipinas in 2019, the first edition of Miss Universe Philippines i.e. Miss Universe Philippines 2020 will be hosted on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor by the end of the event finale.
Nathalia Urcia has become the official representative of Batangas for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 after she was confirmed at the red-carpet presentation held in Manila. Nathalia stands 175cm and has studied International Tourism Management at Universal College of Parañaque. She is a freelance model and a trainee at Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa.
Nathalia started her journey of a beauty queen when she was in college and participated in the local beauty pageants hosted by the college organization. She was crowned Miss STI Title Holder 2019 and later Miss FIHMS Future International Hospitality Management Society 2019. Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is going to be Nathalia’s first ever national beauty pageant. She is excited and blessed and has expressed her gratefulness to the organization for selecting her to represent Batangas at such prestigious platform. She posted a picture with a caption, “I feel so lucky and blessed because i am one of the 52 candidates out of hundred applicants. I’m excited to see what’s in store for me and for the rest of the beautiful ladies. Thank you so much to those people who believed in me that I have the potential entering the world of pageantry.”
Nathalia has worked with various designers and photographers for brand shoots which has helped her to gain knowledge about the beauty pageant and fashion. She has gained immense confidence and determination to compete for the national crown. She has a beautiful face and very strong personality which is a great combination for a beauty queen to compete for the title.
Nathalia’s confidence started to build up when she participated in her first beauty pageant show and since then she has always worked towards winning and being comfortable on stage. She is very close to her family and friends who have always supported and motivated her for her dreams. She works towards helping the people in need like the one affected by natural calamities.
Nathalia’s strong and confident personality can be a strong advantage for the diva to win the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 and earn the opportunity to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2020. She has already started to work towards her goal by practicing for her speech and interview skills, on-stage walk and body postures.
Miss Universe Philippines aims to encourage Filipina women to become empowered individuals, who also embody the mission of being agents of meaningful change wherever they are. It trains participants to become role models, pursuing personal and professional goals, while also leaving and inspiring positive impact in society.
