The first edition of Miss Universe Philippines i.e., Miss Universe Philippines 2020, will be hosted on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila; where the delegates from all over the country will compete for the national title and a chance to represent the country at Miss Universe 2020. Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Since the pageant has officially begun, the Miss Universe Philippines organization held its official portraits shoot, where the delegates wearing their beautiful smile, gave their best shots. The photographer who did the shoot was none other than Dookie Ducay, who is one of the famous photographers in the Philippines, New York and many other countries. Director Eugene David was also present there who guided the divas throughout the shoot for their perfect poses and the divas were styled by Nix Institute of Beauty for their perfect portrait shot.

All the divas looked mesmerizingly beautiful but there were these, who took over everyone’s heart. So, without any further ado, let’s look at our favourite divas from the official portraits of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 –

Perlyn Y. Cayona representing Zamboanga Del Sur

Perlyn Y. Cayona looks beautiful and gorgeous in her official portrait shot with her hair flowing. She looks confident and ready for the competition. She follows Gazini Ganados as her role model for the pageantry and she carries her self just like her. She is gorgeous and very positive person who loves the modern music and some of her favourites are from artists like Rihanna, Drake, Dua Lipa and The Weeknd.

Sandra R. Lemonon representing Taguig

Sandra is 25-years-old and stands 175cm tall with a belief that generosity is the best way to show love, affection and respect to the universe and its adorable creations. She looks stunning in her official portrait shot with a minimal smile on her face and her beautiful hair parted on one side. The nude coloured lipstick is stealer of the picture and her no-makeup makeup look just enhances her beauty to it most. She is experienced and one of the strongest contenders for the title.

Apriel D. Smith representing Cebu

Apriel is 24-years-old and stands 175cm tall with a powerful message for the young women out there. “Never forget that the only validation you need is from yourself. Never let anyone else's judgement change the real you”. She looks so beamingly gorgeous in her official portrait shot with such elegance. She has used the makeup so perfectly that it enhances her collarbones, cheekbones and her face structure perfectly. She is experienced and one of the strongest contenders for the title.

Alaiza Flor Malinao representing Davao City

Alaiza is 26-years old and stands 175cm tall who is an advocate of mental wellness awareness and is appointed as ambassador for Flourish Circle by Love Yourself organization. There is nothing in her official portrait shot that is missing or we don’t love; her hair looks perfect and her face showcases her innocence and experience in the field clearly. She thanked Miss Universe Philippines Organization for letting the delegates hair down and embrace our authentic selves. She shared the picture with a beautiful message, “Be comfortable being you. Skelly Ivy Florida representing Biliran

Skelly is 20-years-old and stands 167cm tall who is passionate about modelling and volleyball. She is referred to as Black Barbie Doll because her features are very similar to that of a barbie doll. Staying true to her name “Black Barbie Doll”, Skelly looks glamorous in her official portrait shot where she let her natural curls on one side and lightens up the entire shot with her bewitching smile. She is confident and it shows in her portrait.

Maria Isabela B. Galeria representing Sorsogon

Maria looks elegant in her official portrait shot for Miss Universe Philippines 2020. She decided to pose backside and look into the camera with her dreamy eyes. Her hair is flowing and she decided to wear a simple lipstick which enhances the beauty of her portrait shot. She shared the picture with a caption, "We need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women and take the lead.". Michele Gumabao representing Quezon City

Michele is 27-years-old and stands 177cm tall who works as a professional volleyball player and a TV presenter for ABS-CBN Sports and Action. She is the daughter of former PBA player and actor Dennis Roldan and siter of actor Marco Gumbao. She looks exquisite in her official portrait shot for Miss Universe Philippines 2020. She let her hair part equally and decided to let it fall according to her face structure. She looks right in to the camera with her big brown beautiful eyes and posed softly with her hands. She is a treat to watch.

We'am Ahmed representing Davao del Norte

We’am is 20-years-old and is a Filipina-Egyptian born beauty. She works as a professional model. She preaches the slogan of “Reuse, Reduce and Respect”. She is fond of nature and usually plans adventurous trips to wherever possible. She looks stunning in her official portrait shot as her shot hair was perfectly curled up to her forehead and kept on one side. Her makeup was minimal but it enhanced the beauty of the diva and she her perfectly shaped lips looks gorgeous in the nude lipstick. She shared the picture with an empowering poem by Rupi Kaur on her social media.
