After winning hearts in the pageant industry, Philippines’ pride Rabiya Mateo is all set to make her debut in the acting field, to show the powerful and action-packed side of hers. The diva has recently revealed her look for the role of Agent Asha Raj for her debut in Agimat Ng Agila Season 2.

After a rigorous training for her challenging role, the diva is all set to deliver a good job. Sharing about her character she said, “With me being a beauty queen, having finesse and poise, here you have to sweat it out—everything. She's really far from being a beauty queen, but I'm loving the challenge.”

Taping for a fantasy-drama series filled with lots of action, Rabiya said sometimes injuries and pain were inevitable. However, she said she was happy and satisfied with her character. "Hopefully in the future, I have more action scenes, action series to do because I see myself here. If there's pain, there's power," she added.

Agimat ng Agila is a Philippine television drama fantasy series broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by Rico Gutierrez, it stars Bong Revilla. It premiered in May 2021 on the network's Sabado Star Power sa Gabi line up replacing Catch Me Out Philippines. The series is also streaming online on YouTube.

Even as a beginner, Rabiya has been giving her co-stars a good impression as an actress. The show stars Sen. Bong Revilla, Sanya Lopez, Elizabeth Oropesa, Benjie Paras, Gardo Verzosa, Betong Sumaya, Kim de Leon, Lia Salvador, Sandro Muhlach, and Shermaine Santiago, among other actors.

Rabiya Mateo represented the Philippines in the 69th Miss Universe pageant. She concluded her journey in the pageant in Top 21. Following her Miss Universe stint, Rabiya Mateo appeared in several television shows until she officially signed a contract for the series.
