Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Top 52: Sigrid Grace Flores

With Miss Universe Philippines separating from Binibining Pilipinas in 2019, the first edition of Miss Universe Philippines i.e. Miss Universe Philippines 2020 will be hosted on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor by the end of the event finale.

Sigrid Grace Flores has become the official representative of Catanduanes for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 after she was confirmed at the red-carpet presentation held in Manila. Sigrid is 25-years-old and is the eldest daughter of Juliette Flores. She has graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication at Central Philippine University before going to the University of the Philippines Visayas to study political science. Sigrid is not new to the pageantry world as she participated in Miss Republic Philippines 2015 and later in Miss Bicolandia 2017 where she was placed as the fourth runner-up. Sigrid Grace represented Miagao in the Miss Dinagyang 2011 where she emerged 2nd runner-up. The diva defines define beauty as one elicited from within, rather than just physical. It is beyond the physical appearance.  

She believes that we all can help others despite the size of our wallets. She claims that we live do not live in time anymore when only rich people could help, which is why her advocacy has always been philanthropic leadership. Her ambition is to mobilize, empower and network people who have the heart to start their own movement to help others. She preaches self-love and has expressed “When you love yourself, people can kind of pick up on that: they can see confidence, they can see self-esteem, and naturally people gravitate towards you.”

By profession, the Filipina is Motivational Speaker, Missionary, Philanthropist and co-Founder of Sons & Daughters in 2013 which is a non-profit organization devoted to loving on people. The noble initiative of this organisation is to spread love to the entire world one movement at a time. They do activities like counselling for the people dealing with mental health issues, they often organise hospital visits and feeding programme in slums. Sigrid has emerged as a very strong contender for the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2020. Her experience, advocacy and hard work will add to her advantage. Her determination towards winning clearly shows as she has already started to prep herself up for the big event finale. She wants to fulfil her dream of representing Philippines at Miss Universe 2020.

Miss Universe Philippines aims to encourage Filipina women to become empowered individuals, who also embody the mission of being agents of meaningful change wherever they are. It trains participants to become role models, pursuing personal and professional goals, while also leaving and inspiring positive impact in society.
