Just as the red-carpet presentation of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 was held on 14th February 2020, the 52 delegates who will vie for the crown were unveiled. The first edition of Miss Universe Philippines 2020, branched out from Binibining Pilipinas will be hosted on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. Miss Universe 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor at the conclusion of the event.
Trizha Bartolome Ocampo hailing from Baguio City, Philippines is the delegate of La Union in Miss Universe Philippines 2020. Majored in Mass Communication, Trizha is a 26-years-old graduate from the University of Baguio. She is not a newbie in the world of pageantry. Commencing her journey in 2015 as a participant of Miss Mutia Ti La Union, she has been proving herself since then and has learned to accept and polish her flaws. Her first attempt to win the crown of Mutia ti La Union 2015 wasn't successful but she didn't lose confidence and tried her luck again in 2016 and ended up being crowned as Miss Mutia Ti La Union 2016. In 2018, She competed for the crown of Miss Baguio and was finally crowned as Miss Baguio 2018. Sadly, her mother passed away 5 days after her coronation ceremony. Her sick mother paid tribute to her by a social media post from her sickened bed. “She promised me she will not spend money coz she is aware of my medical needs. And yet she faced her battle with dignity, pride and strength and confidence, she was in emotional turmoil for several weeks and yet, she made it!” she posted.
Trizha is now going to vie for the crown of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 so that she can fulfill her mother's dream of seeing her representing Philippines at the stage of Miss Universe. She wants to work for underprivileged kids. Her love and affection for children can be seen by her deeds. Since 2013, she has been working for their welfare and celebrates her birthday with them.
Trizha is fond of wearing makeup. She believes that it gives her confidence and happiness. Even when she was young, she used to run away with her mom's lipstick and try it alone. She also has her YouTube channel where she reviews various brands and creates stunning make-up looks.
Ocampo will be a strong contender this year as she has bagged the crown of two prominent pageants of Philippines. Let's see if she gets the opportunity to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2020.
